PS5 reported stolen at gunpoint. Man told police he was at Destiny to meet a buyer

Syracuse, N.Y. — A witness to a robbery Friday at Destiny USA reported a masked man pulled a gun and stole a PlayStation 5 from another man, according to Onondaga County 911 Center dispatches.

At about 3:47 p.m., the 32-year-old man who was robbed told police he was at Destiny to meet someone and sell an item when he was approached by a suspect armed with a weapon, Syracuse police spokesman Sgt. Matthew Malinowski said. Police did not immediately confirm the item stolen was a PlayStation 5.

The armed man demanded the property, took the property and then fled the scene, Malinowski said. The man who was robbed was not injured, he said.

Initial reports indicated that the man fled towards the Park Street exit of the mall in a black Dodge, according to 911 dispatches.

Police ask anyone with information about the robbery to call the Syracuse Police Department at 315-442-5222.
