The King of Fighters 15 open beta client is now available to download

We still have to wait until this weekend to play it though

This week is going to be a big one for fighting game fans with The King of Fighters 15’s open beta giving people around the world their chance to play the new title for the first time.

Now, the KOF15 demo beta client is now available to download for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 owners before the servers officially open up.

On PS4, the download requires 11.4GB of free space although it only needs 3.8GB to launch at first.

You can go ahead and fire up the beta client now, but you won’t really be able to do anything besides look at the title screen since the online servers won’t go up until this Friday.

Once they are, however, players will be able to try out KOF15’s online play through casual matches and lobbies (including the new Draft Vs mode) along with offline Training and Versus to get the almost full picture of what’s coming next year.

There are eight playable characters lined up for this first open beta between newcomer Dolores, Kyo, Iori, Chizuru, Shun’ei, Shermie, Chris and Yashiro.

The open beta test will officially kick off on Friday, November 19, at 7 p.m. PT and run through November 22 at 6:59 a.m. PT.

If the beta doesn’t show up in the PlayStation Store for you, click on the links above and add it to your library from the website first.
