It’s been an amazing start to the year with games like Elden Ring, Tunic and others releasing on Xbox. The fun continues in April as we see the release of Sony San Diego’s annual baseball sim, MLB The Show 22, a new Star Wars-themed LEGO adventure from Traveller’s Tales and more.
While most Xbxo exclusives will be arriving in the latter half of the year, there’s plenty to dive into right now, including some of the games below arriving in April. Here are some of the new game releases for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One coming in April 2022. Unless specifically noted, every game will be available on both Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One.
- Super Cyborg – April 1
- LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga – April 5
- MLB The Show 22 – April 5
- Outbreak: Contagious Memories – April 6
- Godfall: Ultimate Edition – April 7
- Chinatown Detective Agency – April 7
- Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition – April 7
- Road 96 – April 14
- Chernobylite (Xbox Series X|S) – April 21
- MotoGP 22 – April 21
LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is easily one of next month’s most anticipated games. With the Skywalker Saga finally complete, the latest action-adventure adapts all nine of the released films — from A New Hope to The Rise of Skywalker — and is also set to receive DLC inspired by other Star Wars properties, including The Mandalorian, Solo: A Star Wars Story and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. If you’re looking for the most robust LEGO Star Wars offering to date, this will be it.
On the same day, we’re also getting MLB The Show 22. Sony’s annual baseball sim is back and will once again be available on Xbox platforms. And again, it will be available through Xbox Game Pass on day one. If you’re a fan of baseball, there’s none better than the MLB The Show series.
Another game set to arrive on Xbox next month include Godfall: Ultimate Edition, Counterplay Games’ melee action-RPG that originally released on PC and PS5 exclusively in November 2020. As the Ultimate Edition, this includes the full base game plus all post-launch updates to date.
These are just some of the highlights, but let us know which games you are looking forward to playing on Xbox in April.
