What time does NBA 2K22 Season 8 come out?
The NBA 2K22 Season 8 release will start at 8am PT, 11am ET, and 4pm BST on Friday, July 1, with these hours confirmed via the game’s official Twitter account for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PC and Nintendo Switch Consoles.
New Season Rewards Revealed
NBA 2K22 Season 8 will begin at the same time across all platforms but the rewards available to unlock will differ depending on if you’re using a PS4 or PS5. The good news is that there will be something for everyone to unlock when playing through the new season, although some things will be exclusive to current-gen players.
Visual Concepts has confirmed that When you hoist the Larry O’Brien Trophy in all of its golden glory, you’ll be able to do while wearing an outfit complete with Season 8’s Gold Goggles, Gold Basketball Jersey, Gold Long Shorts, Gold Arm Sleeve, Gold Hat, Gold Tee, or Gold Suit.
Those who want to travel around the map in style will be able to do so using a new Go-Kart that unlocks at level 30 with a special slime skin. There will also be new shoes to claim when reaching level 40 through MyCareer, while there will also be cards to unlock via MyTeam.
A message from Visual explains: “If you missed the announcement, these End Game cards are a cut above the cut above. All attributes rated at 99, all 80 possible badges at the Hall of Fame level, and the best jumpers, dribbles, and finishing animations you could ask for. These cards do-it-all, and three more are being added as rewards in Season 8.”
End Game Cards confirmed as Level 40 rewards include the two-time NBA MVP, Nikola Jokic. The back-to-back MVP’s abilities already go well beyond what is expected from players at the Center position, which is why this 99 overall Jokic is also Point Guard eligible.
Other rewards coming to the game can be found below and include the following:
MyTEAM this Season will focus on some of the players who have made the biggest impact on the community over the last decade. Additionally, this Season adds End Game Jokic, Invincible Dr. J in Token Market, Invincible Dominique Wilkins as a reward for 2000 wins in Triple Threat, and more. Updates also include a Kobe and Shaq Pack at launch and brand new signature challenges centered around AI, Kobe, MJ, and LeBron. Lastly, a final Domination tier will be added to MyTEAM, where players can compete for End Game James Harden;
The W features former WNBA stars-turned coaches in Sheri Sam and Taj McWilliams-Franklin. In Season 8, players can lean on their basketball expertise and knowledge to reach the Hall of Fame tier to be rewarded with their contacts, including a Takeover Perk Picker. Players can also earn 2K Breakthrough Gear, an Extra Point Badge, 4,000 total VC, a Seasonal Clothing Bundle, and exclusive W Gear.
