The release date for when NBA 2K23 will come out is just a few weeks away and basketball fans can pre-order the game right now for some neat bonuses.
EA has kicked off the slew of sport releases with Madden 23. NBA 2K23 is next before EA returns with FIFA, and there’s lots to anticipate with Take-Two’s next iteration of basketball. One of the aspects to look forward to is the celebration of the legendary Michael Jordan with the return of the Jordan challenges.
We cannot wait to don our very expensive sneakers, jerseys, and hit the courts again, and the good news is that we will all be able to roam the City very soon.

When does NBA 2K23 come out?
The release date for when NBA 2K23 will come out on PlayStation, Xbox, PC, and Nintendo Switch is September 9th.
Before you pre-order any edition of the game, you should know that the PC version on Steam is again last-gen rather than what’s offered on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
Per the official FAQ, 2K Games hasn’t optimised the current-gen experience for PC because the ‘focus was on assuring NBA 2K23 was optomized for new consoles (PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S), while also making sure the experience remains fresh and innovative for players on other platforms’.
It’s disappointing that the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S experience isn’t on PC, but this isn’t unusual for the sports genre as Madden 23 is the same. However, hopefully this disparity is coming to an end as the PC version of FIFA 23 will be the same as PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
