The Saints Row reboot 2022 is out soon, and fans should know whether it supports crossplay and cross platform gameplay for its multiplayer co-op.
Volition’s reboot is exciting. It bring the series back down to Earth after fighting aliens in space and demons in Hell, and it has an incredible amount of customisation with eager players able to download the free Boss Factory demo to sculpt their MC in advance.
While causing carnage and mayhem on your own will be lots of fun, the good news is that you will be able to do it all alongside a mate.

Does the Saints Row reboot 2022 have multiplayer?
The Saints Row reboot 2022 is multiplayer, but there is only co-op.
You unlock co-op after completing the first two missions and getting access to the open-world of Santo Ileso. It’s possible to invite and team up with a specific friend, or you can just partner up with another random Boss via matchmaking.
In order to team up with a friend, someone will need to play the role of host with the other as guest. You can progress through the campaign and missions together, and the guest will be able to play missions they haven’t unlocked.
As the guest, you’ll be pleased to hear that any XP and items you gather will carry back over to your save. The multiplayer is strictly co-op, but there is a semi-PVP component with Pranks.
Pranks only work if allowed by both players. It’s some goofy fun that basically allows you to turn your friend from Boss into an object.
Is there crossplay?
There is no crossplay or cross platform multiplayer for the Saints Row reboot 2022 other than cross-gen.
This basically means PlayStation cannot play with Xbox, but PS4 users can play with PS5, and the same for Xbox One with Series X/S. Buying the Standard edition will unlock the game for both PS4 and PS5, Xbox One and Series X/S, so you don’t need to worry about dual-gen entitlement.
