When Is Diablo 3 Season 27 Coming Out?

Blizzard has confirmed that the Diablo 3 Season 26 start date has been set for Friday, August 26, 2022, at 5pm PDT / 5pm CEST / 5pm KST.

This means that the new seasonal rewards will make their debuts at local times in most regions; however, it could also be affected by the platform you’re playing on. Console players in the past have had to wait longer than PC players, leaving PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Nintendo Switch gamers waiting until 5pm PDT to start playing, no matter where they live.

This means that Season 27 will start for some at 1am BST on Saturday, August 26, 2022, for some in the UK and European timezones. As mentioned above, when the new season arrives, fans will have new features to try out, including the Angelic Crucibles. Blizzard describes them as follows:

“We wanted to use Angelic Crucibles to lean into the expertise of each class, further exemplifying its respective prowess, but through a nuanced lens. The High Heavens are home to ethereal splendour, bursting with boundless radiance—we wanted to provide players with a taste of untainted power as doled out from Heaven itself.”

New seasonal rewards are being added to the game, including the Corvus Cadaverous pet and the Laurels of Knowledge portrait. Meanwhile, completing Chapters 2, 3, and 4 of the Season Journey will reward you with three of Haedrig’s Gifts, with each Gift containing a few pieces from one of your Class Sets.

And according to Blizzard, these are the other main Diablo 3 Season 27 themes to know about:

  • Angelic Crucibles and Sanctified items can only be acquired in Seasonal play and will not transfer to your non-seasonal character when the season ends.
  • Angelic Crucibles can drop anywhere in Sanctuary at level 70.
  • Players can obtain as many Sanctified items as they would like; however, only one Sanctified item can be equipped at a time.
  • Sanctified items can be Sanctified again using another Angelic Crucible.
  • No stats are preserved when Sanctifying an item.
  • Only level 70 equippable items can be Sanctified—crafted items cannot be Sanctified.
  • Followers cannot equip Sanctified items.
  • The drop rate of Angelic Crucibles has been doubled.
