Cuban actress Heydy González revealed this Thursday how she took her little daughter Galilea out of Cuba, who arrived in the United States this August.

In the program “La casa de Maka”, González explained that his daughter had a visa to the United States, however, it expired.

After that, the little girl’s father did not give the authorization for her to be taken out of Cuba permanently, something that prevented family reunification.

Some time later, Galilea’s father informed Heydy that he totally agreed with the minor’s departure from Cuba and she set to work to bring her to this nation.

She and the little girl traveled to Nicaragua and in that country they applied to the United States embassy for a visa renewal, which, fortunately, they obtained, so that little Galilea arrived in North American territory legally.

“There was a time when I tried to bring her, but Galilea has a father and at that time her father did not give me the authorization that I had to have. He was one of those who realized that the situation in Cuba was critical and he told me ‘if you can take the girl, take her,’” he recounted.

The actress confessed that she decided to leave Cuba after the historic anti-government protests of July 11, 2021 and the statements she shared against the dictatorship.

Likewise, Heydy assured that she felt very afraid in the country and hoped that at any moment they would enter her house to arrest her.

Galilea arrived in the United States a few days ago and it was the artist herself who confirmed the news through her social networks, where she also shared some images of the moment when she and her husband, Cuban singer Eddy Eddy Borges, met. again with the girl.

“We are already complete. I can only say thank you, God. My princess Galilea with us, ”the actress wrote next to the emotional images of her.

Cuban actress and presenter Aly Sánchez, Heydy’s friend and comadre, went with her daughters to the airport to welcome her to Galilee.

In the stories of her official Instagram account, Heydy thanked all the people who made the little girl’s arrival in the United States possible.

“Thanks to all these super brothers who have made our happiness even more complete,” she said next to a photograph in which she appears surrounded by friends.
