Lakeshore is holding a pair of open house events to gather feedback regarding the proposed gaming site for charitable gaming.

The proposal, initiated by Community Gaming and Entertainment Group (CGEG), is to establish a gaming site for a Charitable Gaming Centre at 446 Advance Boulevard.

Before being established, it will require approval from both the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) and Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG).
A summary of feedback from the open houses will be considered by council before deciding to support or oppose the proposal.
The first open house event, on Monday, Sept. 12 from 5 to 7 p.m., will be held online and hosted on Microsoft Teams with no software installation needed. Those interested in participating must register online to receive a meeting invitation on the town’s website at www.lakeshore.ca.
The second open house will be an in-person event on Wednesday, Sept. 14 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Atlas Tube Recreation Centre at 447 Renaud Line Rd.
