F1 22 Update Adding Limited-Time Ferrari Giallo Modena Items, As Well As Shanghai International Circuit Next Week

EA and Codemasters have announced that a free update for F1 22 will be coming next week, adding limited-time Giallo Modena items, including a car livery, uniforms, pit crew uniforms, helmet and boots for the Ferrari team, tying in with the Formula 1 Pirelli Gran Premio D’Italia 2022. A new weekly event and circuit will also be added in the update.

The Giallo Modena livery pays homage to the Monza and Ferrari’s illustrious racing roots, incorporating the new logo released by the manufacturer earlier this year. “We are thrilled to accompany Ferrari during this special moment and bring this iconic new image they developed to F1 22,” said Senior Franchise Director Paul Jeal. “Our studio prides itself on creating authentic racing experiences, and these touches reinforce how closely the game is embedded into the world of Formula 1.”

The Giallo Modena items will be available in F1 22 for one month from the availability of the new update on 12th September, with the Shanghai International Circuit also included – following the addition of Portimao last month – alongside the Chinese Moon Festival weekly event titled ‘A Bright Start to F1’. This will see you steering Alfa Romeo’s Zhou Guanyu to his best ever Formula One finish, overtaking teammate Valtteri Bottas and childhood hero Fernando Alonso with six laps to go.

The event will be available in F1 22 from 12th to 25th September, with anyone managing to finish 7th or above in the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix unlocking the customisable Kohaku Koi car livery, pictured below. F1 22 is available for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC, now with added cross-play.
