GameStop will have PlayStation 5 bundles to purchase in-store both today, September 9, and tomorrow, September 10. GameStop has consistently been one of the best options when it comes to getting a new PS5 console, hosting both online and in-store restocks of the system since its launch in November 2020. Those that have yet to purchase a PS5 console for themselves will have another opportunity this weekend, though there are some additional details they will want to keep in mind.
The GameStop PS5 in-store restock for September 9 will be exclusive to GameStop PowerUp Rewards Pro members. GameStop’s subscription service only costs $15 per year, and it gives customers access to PS5 restocks as well as various other perks and discounts. Anyone interested in getting a PS5 console should definitely consider signing up for it, as it should make getting one significantly easier.
Then on September 10, the leftover PS5 bundles will be available for all GameStop customers, regardless of if they are signed up for the store’s Pro membership or not. As always, customers can expect quantities to be extremely limited, so it may be best to call one’s local GameStop in advance to make sure they have consoles available. GameStop PS5 Console Restock for September 2022 Date
- September 9 – Pro Members only
- September 10 – All GameStop customers
The question on everyone’s mind will likely be what exactly these GameStop PS5 bundles consist of, but unfortunately, they haven’t been revealed yet. It’s possible that the GameStop PS5 bundles will vary by store, but it’s also possible that they will be identical to previous GameStop PS5 bundles. Typically, these GameStop PS5 bundles consist of a couple of games, a gift card or two, a PlayStation Plus subscription, and accessories like an extra controller or headset. They usually cost a few hundred dollars more than a standard PS5, so customers should keep that in mind, though it still beats paying scalper prices.
It also hasn’t been clarified if the PS5 bundles will include both the PS5 Digital Edition and standard PS5 console, or if just one or the other will be available. Generally speaking, the bulk of PS5 restocks have been for the standard console, which typically retails for $499.99, as opposed to the $399.99 Digital Edition. The consoles are identical power-wise, with the only difference being that the standard PS5 console has a disc drive and the PS5 Digital Edition console does not.
