Minecraft Live is Mojang’s annual event where it gives fans a glimpse at the future of the game, from the next big update to the popular mob vote. This event sets the stage for what’s to come, while also showcasing how any particular update will change the way fans experience Minecraft. Last year’s Minecraft Live gave fans a look at The Wild Update, which was released earlier this year, and the Allay win the mob vote – an important win for every player working on automatic farms.
Not much has been revealed about Minecraft Live 2022, and very little outside of speculation and rumors is known about Minecraft’s next big 1.20 update. Fans should expect to get news about that update during the event, as well as a look ahead at new developments for the Diablo-like dungeon-crawler Minecraft Dungeon. There may even be another trailer for Minecraft Legends, a real-time-strategy game set in the world of Minecraft.
Update 1.20
With nothing revealed about Minecraft update 1.20, fans are hoping for certain changes to biomes and dimensions. One of the most requested updates is for the End Dimension, including new mobs, blocks, and biomes added into the End to make it a more enjoyable experience for late-game players similar to how the Nether was overhauled. Another avenue that Minecraft could take would be to make a huge overworld biome adjustment, adding tons of mobs and blocks while redesigning biomes following the Caves and Cliffs update that changed Minecraft‘s landscapes.
Minecraft Dungeons
With more seasonal adventures coming to Minecraft Dungeons, players should expect news about Season 3 and the next set of themes that Mojang has planned for its dungeon crawler. New weapons, enemies, maps, tower floors, and even pets will likely be showcased at Minecraft Live 2022, and Mojang may even reveal a new story update for the upcoming season. With nothing really known about where Minecraft Dungeons is heading, fans will be hoping for a big reveal at Minecraft Live 2022.
Minecraft Legends
The next big Minecraft spin-off was revealed during the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase, and many fans are excited to see more about the upcoming real-time-strategy game Minecraft Legends. Fans still need to learn more about how players can interact with the world and the different mobs, as well as how the invading Piglins are affecting life in the Overworld. With little else known about the game, Minecraft Legends is expected to have a huge showcase at Minecraft Live 2022, and that may even include some insight into how the game is being made.
Minecraft Live 2022 is set to be a huge event, with potential new information about Minecraft Legends likely being included, Minecraft Dungeon’s next season showcased, and news about the next major update to the base game. There should also be a new mob vote that could feature hostile or passive mobs appearing in update 1.20. With so much to be revealed, fans will want to check into the livestream on October 15 to see what changes and additions are coming to Minecraft and its two spin-off titles.
Minecraft is available now for Mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
