Square Enix today released a patch for Marvel’s Avengers that incorrectly displays the IP address of the PlayStation 5 player on the screen. This is a concern for anyone who has streamed the game or used the system’s screenshot sharing feature.
Players and journalists I posted on Twitter about this issue, Share an edited screenshot showing how the information was displayed in the game.
SQUARE ENIX said shortly after players and journalists became aware of this issue: Official Twitter account of the game I was investigating “the problem that floating strings of text are displayed on the screen”.
After less than 2 hours I checked the news And the user warned that he would have to wait for the fix.
“We are currently testing a solution to the problem of personal information such as the player’s IP address and username displayed on the PS5 screen, and we plan to deploy a fix around 8 am tomorrow.”
“PlayStation 5 players should not stream or post screenshots online until then, as they may see sensitive information,” he added.
