Warzone errors, dev or otherwise, are far from a new concept. The latest Warzone Dev Errors however are apparently forced by hackers. This showed up in one of Warzone pro Tommey’s lobbies. In it, a user joined the lobby, said “Hello”, and then gave them a dev error. What was the result? An immediate crash. It’s hard to tell if this is a new, terrifying hack, or if just a handful of players abusing a newly found dev error in Warzone, it’s hard to tell. But here’s what we know for the time being. We can say this is awful, and a new frustrating thing on top of everything else wrong with Warzone.

Tommey and Fifakill were in a Warzone lobby, and a random user joined the group. This player greeted Tommey, and before anything else could happen, Tommey’s lobby crashed. Tommey posted the video on Twitter, making sure what he thinks happened actually did. The username in question, seen in this tweet, is a series of what look like X buttons.

This mysterious user asked if Tommey had any questions about Warzone, and Tommey said he didn’t. The other user replies “Zero? Not even about how I’m doing this?” Before Tommey could do anything, he was forced out of Warzone with a dev error. Fifakill suggests locking the lobby, but we’re willing to bet that won’t even stop it. You can see the video here.

Another big Warzone streamer, MerK pointed out that it happened to them too in the tweet where Tommey posted the original image. Right now it’s not clear how this is happening, but judging by the message left by the mysterious, cryptic user, it definitely sounds like a hack that is forcing Warzone dev errors. Hopefully, Raven Software makes a statement or discovers the cause soon and stops it.
