TULSA, Oklahoma –

The Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association Board (OSSAA) unanimously approved esports gaming as a championship activity on Wednesday.

OSSAA says the 14-0 vote means that Oklahoma will soon have a full league dedicated to the expanding esports world and that a meeting will be held with member schools Monday, September 13th. A representative with OSSAA said the Oklahoma esports league could start as early as the beginning of October.
