The A Plague Tale: The Requiem on PS5 will be leaning into the advanced haptics of the DualSense controller. Asobo Studio aims to use haptic feedback to convey the sensation of being swarmed between your fingers by rats.
A plague tale: Requiem DualSense features a requiem.
Speaking to PLAY (via MP1st), Asobo Studio lead designer Kevin Pinson explained how the studio remodeled DualSense, saying: “The studio is double down,” “as in the multichannel segment.”
Requiem is also a lot about the soundscapes and the physicality of the environment, so we try to reorder that to haptic feedback. This is an enjoyable game with the PS5 DualSense. I am glad that people will talk to us soon and give us feedback about it.
Pinson hopes this will help players really feel this annoying sensation of being swarmed between the hands of rats.
Of course, if that sounds weird, players can disable the feature. (I certainly won’t blame you if you’ve turned it off.)
A plague: Requiem, with its creepy haptics, is scheduled to debut for PS5 on October 18. It’s coming to Xbox X|S and PC next year, without haptic feedback.
For the biggest fans, publisher Focus Entertainment is going to get started with this sequel. It’s important for them to get a Collector’s Edition. This page contains a nice statuette.
A Plague Tale: Requiem was just one of the games it was shown during the recent Xbox Bethesda show. Here’s the recap of the entire event.
