Now that the case of GameStop finally calmed down a bit, things are starting to clear up. A recent study by PiiQ Media, a company focused on cybersecurity, revealed that there were several bots involved in the entire case of GameStop, adding even more fuel to the fire.

PiiQ Media managed to analyze several keywords among users of Reddit, and it was thanks to this that they managed to detect a certain pattern in the behavior of Internet users. Aaron Barr, co-founder and chief technology officer of PiiQsaid the following:

“We saw clear patterns of artificial behavior on all four social media platforms. When you think of organic content, it varies throughout the day and doesn’t have exactly the same pattern every day of the month. “

In conclusion, PiiQ Media found that there are possibly tens of thousands of bot accounts talking about GameStop, which evidently brought more attention to the case.
