Following a big update earlier this week, gamers are reporting a fresh Apex Legends server outage today.
Apex servers went down for some fans at around 5:30pm BST, and it’s unclear what is causing the matchmaking problems.
Gamers report joining a lobby but then having it cut out just before a game starts or getting stuck watching a lobby screen that never populates with other players.
The good news is that while thousands of gamers might be currently affected, that’s still a small group of the overall population.
This means that the game is not suffering from a full worldwide outage and will hopefully get back to normal relatively quickly.
It’s unclear what has caused tonight’s outage or how long it might last across affected platforms.
Developers Respawn Entertainment have been combatting server issues since Tuesday, following the launch of the Genesis Event.
An earlier message from the team revealed problems with certain ranked matches, telling gamers:
“The issue with Masters+ Ranked matchmaking may take 72 hours or more to fix due to QA requirements.
“An issue with the “Frag Out” banner frames for Bloodhound and Rampart is causing game crashes. Unequipping these frames may help—please spread the word.”
