Apex Legends players may soon be able to customise their weapons with Mass Effect’s iconic N7 logo. The Mass Effect N7 charm was listed as an Xbox Game Pass perk on the Xbox Series X dashboard though trying to redeem it at the time simply took users to the perks page where no mention of Mass Effect was present reports Gamespot. In 2020, Mass Effect gun charms for Apex Legends were datamined with both male and female Shepard making an appearance. At the time no N7 charm was seen possibly suggesting that this was produced later on.
We won’t be surprised to see the Mass Effect N7 gun charm make it to Apex Legends in time for the launch of Mass Effect Legendary Edition or perhaps as a pre-order bonus.
Mass Effect Legendary Edition features single-player campaigns for Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2, and Mass Effect 3 and includes 40+ DLC and will be available from May 14, 2021. The Mass Effect Legendary India price is Rs. 3,999 ($60 in the US) and will be available for PC via Origin and Steam, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One with forward compatibility on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Interestingly, Mass Effect Legendary Edition will run on Unreal Engine 3 and not Unreal Engine 4. The reason for this decision is that the “level of change would result in a different experience”, claimed Bioware.
Also, there won’t be any ray-tracing support for the games though the trailers shown off suggest a welcome improvement over the original in terms of reflections and effects in addition to improvements in character models and environments.
