Apex Legends Mobile will be released worldwide for Android and iOS devices in May, developer Respawn Entertainment has announced.
Mobile design director Jordan Patz revealed the news during a recent Apex Legends developer panel attended by VGC.
“I’m excited to announce, finally, that Apex Legends Mobile will be coming to all players worldwide in May,” he said.

Apex Legends Mobile is being developed by a dedicated team at Respawn in conjunction with Tencent’s Lightspeed & Quantum Studios, which is the group of developers behind PUBG Mobile.
Like Apex Legends for console and PC, the mobile title will be free-to-play and won’t include paid items that offer a gameplay advantage. It will have its own battle passes, collectible cosmetics and unique unlockables.
“It’s an exciting time for our team right now,” said Patz. “We’re wrapping up soft launch and we’ve learned a lot about the game in a short period.
“For those who aren’t familiar, Apex Legends Mobile is a standalone Apex game that brings the experience and the world of the PC and console game to a new audience.
“We’ve built this game from the ground up with mobile-first optimisations and mobile exclusive content to make sure that the game feels like Apex while also fresh and new at the same time.
“To do that, we’re starting with 10 Legends out of the gate, with favourites like Wraith, Octane, Bloodhound and Pathfinder.
“We’re taking players back to classic World’s Edge and Kings Canyon, and of course we’re adding some twists to excite old school fans as well,” Patz added.

During the panel, Respawn also revealed new details about Apex Legends Season 13. Titled ‘Saviors’ and set to launch on May 10, it will introduce new Legend Newcastle, plus some significant changes to the game’s Storm Point map.
The headline additions are a new point of interest based in and around the carcass of a giant sea monster, and a new PVE minigame involving long-dormant IMC armouries resurfaced and activated by seismic activity.
