A new Apex Legends update is out today, and while it doesn’t contain any fancy content drops, fans still want to know what it does.
The good news is that developers Respawn Entertainment has lain out all the major changes as part of its latest Apex Patch Notes.
Here’s everything we know has changed with the release of today’s Apex Legends update, the latest to go live during Season 14: Hunted.

New Apex Legends Update Out Now
Today’s Apex Legends update is available to download across PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PC and Nintendo Switch. It’s required to be installed by anyone who wants to continue playing live matches on any of the above platforms.
The full patch notes for the August 22 Apex Legends release have also been shared by Respawn and include the following changes:
- Players occasionally unable to upgrade weapons in Arenas.
- Collecting a banner when wearing the Seer Heartthrob and Rampart Wastelander skins causes a crash.
- Vantage cannot use KO shield when knocked while using her tactical jump.
- Vantage range indicator disappears after Respawn.
However, there are still some annoying bugs that have not been squashed with this latest release, with the Apex support team revealing that the issue preventing players from receiving the correct rewards when levelling up has still not been fixed.
This occurred after the launch of Season 14: Hunted and remains an issue for gamers across all platforms since August 10. The latest message regarding a potential fix was shared by Respawn today on Twitter and adds:
“We’re still working on the fix for this but will let you know when it’s ready and in the game. Thanks for being patient with us on this one.”
More news is not expected to be shared by the team regarding today’s Apex Legends update, meaning the changes listed above are the most important included in the new game build.
