It’s finally been confirmed: Assassin’s Creed Origins is getting its long, long awaited PS5 update on the 2nd June. That’s actually sooner than we were anticipating — we were betting on it dropping when the open world title hits Xbox Game Pass next week. A nice little surprise, then.
The patch will allow the PS4 game to run at 60 frames-per-second on PS5.
And er…well, that’s about it. Origins is considered by many to be one of the best games in Ubisoft’s series. It features a stunning recreation of Egypt, complete with pyramids, temples, bustling cities, and vast swathes of desert. It also revitalised Assassin’s Creed as a franchise, going on to sell incredibly well following the relative disappointment of Assassin’s Creed Unity and Assassin’s Creed Syndicate.
Will you be journeying back to Egypt this week? Watch out for burning bugs in the comments section below.
