Big Brain Academy: Brain vs. Brain Release Date Announced

The newly announced Big Brain Academy: Brain vs. Brain is the latest in the Big Brain Academy series, which last saw a release on the Wii U back in 2015. This isn’t the first brain-style game for the Nintendo Switch, but it looks like its the first that’s being released outside of Japan, as the Big Brain series lacks the previous legal issues the Brain Training series ran into due to medical claims. Along with the reveal of the game, came the announcement of the Big Brain Academy: Brain vs Brain release date.

This time, however, players will be able to play against each other in head-to-head minigames that will test both your reflexes and your wits. Players will be able to individually set their own difficulty level, so people of all ages will be able to test their “memory, analysis, identification skills and more.”

The game will be releasing on December 3, 2021, which coincidentally is the exact same date as Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp. Not too bad for one day, eh? With these two games and Metroid Dread, it looks like there’s something for Nintendo fans this Fall and Winter.

Big Brain Academy: Brain vs. Brain has the type of easy-to-pick-up gameplay and variety of accessible modes that feel right at home on the Nintendo Switch family of systems,” said Nick Chavez, Nintendo of America’s Senior Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Communications. “This is a clever game for minds of all ages – perfect for family gatherings or a little fun competition among friends.”

There’s also a single-player Solo mode that provides daily exercises so you can improve your Big Brain Brawn score. It’s designed so you can either start your day on the right track or wind down at night.

There are five categories for activities in Big Brain Academy: Brain vs. Brain: Identify, Memorize, Analyze, Compute and Visualize. These can all be played solo or up to three other players locally, or against other players around the world through their data that you can download.

Definitely the whale.

In the Party Mode, players will be able to go brain vs brain to earn the highest amount of points by quickly completing activities. As you change the difficulty the activities themselves will change, so when you lose to Little Timmy because he knows that a whale doesn’t have four legs don’t be too upset. Just get a bigger brain.

What is the Big Brain Academy: Brain vs Brain release date?

Big Brain Academy: Brain vs. Brain releases exclusively on the Nintendo Switch on December 3, 2021 for $29.99.
