Blockchain and Cryptocurrency based esports tournament operator ExeedMe has become a member of the Esports Integrity Commission (ESIC). Now that they are a member, they will integrate ESIC’s industry-standard Integrity Program into their operations. This will allow them to promote integrity in their esports events as well as ensure that the esports tournaments that they host will be fair for the competitors.
ExeedMe
ExeedMe is an interesting organisation, they are not focused on drawing in the biggest names in the esports world to compete in their tournaments. Instead, they are looking to create a Play2Earn ecosystem for casual gamers. They are a blockchain-powered tournament platform that allows gamers of all skill levels, developers and gaming communities to showcase their skills.
In their first CS:GO tournament, they did not invite major CS:GO esports teams, they decided to bring in teams from other Blockchain companies to show off their tournament-building skills. The winner of the tournament was $2000 in mixed blockchain tokens.
According to their website:
“Blockchain, DeFi, and NFT innovations built into Exeedme allow for peer-to-peer gamer skill and item economies to emerge. These economies will be gamer-centric and focused on rewarding players in first place.”
“Exeedme’s technology will enable the majority of money flows in its economy to go directly to gamers of all skill levels. Gamers no longer have to be professionals to earn money playing video games.”

Ian Smith, the Esports Integrity Commissions Commissioner said:
“We are happy to have ExeedMe on board as a member of ESIC. We look forward to working with them to assist with the integration of ESIC’s Integrity Program into their operations. This is another step towards the fulfilment of ESIC’s mission to establish and foster the harmonisation of competitive integrity standards in esports. ExeedMe’s allegiance with ESIC is a display of their dedication to maintain integrity in their esports operations.”
CEO of ExeedMe, Nuno Fernandes, also commented:
“It’s a huge honour to have ExeedMe join as a member of ESIC! We are deeply committed to changing the gaming scene by allowing gamers from all skill levels to showcase their skills. We feel that it is crucial for us, as we’re creating a Play2Earn ecosystem, that our platform is built on trust, and that all users can play freely and fairly, so partnering with ESIC was an important step for ExeedMe and we couldn’t be more honoured to take part in such a leading organization in the esports world.”
Crypto-based esports
There has been crypto esports betting for almost as long as cryptocurrency has been around. A digital currency is a major boon for the online betting industry. Now that the NFT boom is happening, it is not surprising that companies from every online industry would want a slice of the pie.
The surprising thing, in my opinion, is the fact that they signed on with the Esports Integrity Commission. I am sure that there are plenty of fly-by-night operations looking to make some easy and quick money from this cryptocurrency bubble that we are in, but by signing on with ESIC, it shows that they are committed to their company and the integrity of their events.
