Bloodborne Remastered rumours surface again but fans aren’t buying it

Bloodborne Remastered rumours for the PS5 have surfaced this week ahead of Sony’s State of Play. But like in the past, gamers are questioning the validity of such a project appearing as part of the showcase.

High on the wishlist of Souls fans, a Bloodborne Remaster for next-gen consoles would create a lot of hype right now. And with Elden Ring doing so well across all platforms, there would be plenty of gamers ready to splash the cash on such a project.

But while fans are hoping for some surprises later today, those discussing the latest Bloodborne rumours aren’t buying into the idea.

Bloodborne Remastered Rumours Are Back

A new Bloodborne Remastered rumour has appeared online linking an impending announcement to this week’s State of Play. During the live stream event, there will be a number of updates and reveals for both the PlayStation 5 and PS4 systems. Sony has not shared what will be discussed during the 20-minutes, however, they have ruled out a few things.

There will be no updates on upcoming hardware, meaning we will not be seeing the new PlayStation VR2 in action. That leaves the door open for a number of big projects to take centre stage, including stuff like God of War Ragnarok. Further guidance shared by Sony is that there will be a special focus on games coming from Japanese publishers.

But while a number of alleged Bloodborne Remastered screenshots have been shared online, those talking about it on social media platforms like Reddit, are not convinced they are real. Having seen the new images, here are some of the comments shared regarding the subject of a new From Software announcement:

“The classic Bloodborne rumor baby.”

“People are begging for it, they could do nothing other than fix frame, pacing and 60fps and people would buy it.

“I love Bloodborne – and as someone who loves the game, I can tell you, it does need some work. I can only play at a cinematic 24FPS for so long.”

“There’s an issue I believe with a patch, cause attacks are attached to framerate I believe that’s the issue why it never came out. I’m all for a Bloodborne remaster/update of any kind. I will gladly pay $60.00 for this too, Bloodborne in 4k 60FPS, with some added weapons, and a bit more content would be something awesome to look forward to.”
