It’s been quite some time since we’ve seen any big updates about Bomb Rush Cyberfunk. Team Reptile has been hard at work on this Jet Set Radio Future spiritual successor, only giving glimpses by tweeting or retweeting clips and assets from the game. Or just releasing a brand new track by Hideki Naganuma back in March of this year.
Today, they’ve sent out a series of tweets, one of which announces that Bomb Rush Cyberfunk will be delayed to summer 2023.
But we will be dumping a lot more visuals this week to show how it is shaping up.

Prior to the announcement, Team Reptile did show off a new clip (in the form of a GIF). This particular one shows off what you can do with a boostpack, specifically the ability to chain combos and getting a speed boost when flying in style from higher ground.
Using their boostpacks players can do special ‘Boost Tricks’ like this 1080 spin. If you land this into a manual, you can keep the combo going. Coming from higher ground and landing into a manual also gives a speed boost. https://t.co/rgvydOCj47

For more clips, images, and more, watch out for Team Reptile’s Twitter feed this week. After that, expect more teases until Bomb Rush Cyberfunk releases as a timed console exclusive on Nintendo Switch in Summer 2023.
