Bren Esports sustained their hot streak to four consecutive wins after taking a 2-1 reverse sweep of TNC Pro Team in Week 5 of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines Season 10 on Sunday.
The two-time MPL PH champions overcame a slow start in Season 10, succumbing to a 1-4 win-loss card before making a deep run to stay in the hunt for the top two upper bracket slots in the playoffs.
They now have 14 points courtesy of a 5-4 record, just four points off league-leading Blacklist International who has 18 points.
Bren maintained a slim lead from the early game and scored a 3-1 tradeoff during a 19th minute lord fight but Daniel “SDzyz” Chu (Thamuz) executed a clutch lord steal to help TNC take some breathing room.
Robee Bryan “Yasuwo” Pormocille (Beatrix) then completed a killing spree during the 25th minute lord dance that enabled TNC to once again secure the evolved lord.
TNC then managed the base turret aggression perfectly in the ensuing play to take the opener.
In Game 2, Michael Angelo “KyleTzy” Sayson (Julian) put matters into his own hands as he went on rampage in the early game, taking a double kill during a 7th minute engage to tally a 3-1-4 KDA right away and lead Bren’s 3k net worth lead.
Banking on a comfortable economy gap, Bren easily took the 10th minute lord that they used to score a 3-1 exchange during an 11th minute base turret aggression and score the equalizer.
During the rubber match, both teams decided to trade objectives from opposite side of the map but it was Bren who took the upper-hand after taking down the bottom lane inhibitor turret in the 10th minute while only conceding two outer turrets.
The M2 world champions then scored a 3-1 takedown during the 12th minute lord fight to sweep all remaining TNC inhibitor turrets.
Despite TNC holding on, Bren took the life out of their rivals as they emerged with a 5-0 shutout off a 17th minute lord dance to complete the reverse sweep.
