Burglar stole Nintendo Switch, vinyls and bags from Weymouth homes

A MAN who stole a Nintendo Switch, music equipment and hi-fi equipment from properties in Weymouth will be sentenced next month.

Geoffrey Brian Conquer, aged 50, trespassed and entered a property on Dorchester Road and stole several items involving vinyl records, a guitar, hi-fi equipment, suitcases and bags on Saturday, July 24.

Bournemouth Crown Court heard how a day later, he entered an address on Sundew Close and stole a Nintendo Switch, games, controllers, cables and vape products to an unknown value.

Conquer’s property was searched after his arrest, and officers found Class B drugs amphetamine and cannabis inside.

Conquer, of Lennox Street in Weymouth, pleaded guilty to the two burglaries and possession of Class B drugs amphetamine and cannabis.

It was noted during the sentencing that was going to be ‘highly likely’ that Conquer would be issued a custodial sentence.

Recorder Brown told Conquer: “You will be sentenced on September 30 and all options remain open to the sitting judge. You will be remanded in custody until then.”

Conquer, who appeared via video link from HMP Channings Wood, will appear again at Bournemouth Crown Court for sentencing on Thursday, September 30.
