At this tournament, all twelve of the Call of Duty League teams will clash live and in person at the Mattamy Athletic Centre in Toronto. There’s a $500,000 prize pool on the line, with the winner walking away with a massive cut worth $200,000. Not only that, but the victor will pick up a huge boost of CDL points – 65, to be exact. This is a figure that could be the difference between making the cut and falling short as we move towards the Call of Duty Championship.
Let’s get right into the Major III predictions.
CDL Major III – How It All Works
If you’re new to Call of Duty League betting, you’re in luck. This tournament is remarkably easy to understand, and if you’re taking part in some Major III betting, you won’t have to work hard to figure out which teams are most likely to win. There’s a definite and tangible skill gap present in the League this year, and it makes for some easier betting opportunities.
For the Major III tournament, there are two brackets: Winners and Elimination. For the teams starting in the Winners bracket, there’s an extra chance to push on into the final, should they lose a match at any point. However, for the teams starting in the Elimination bracket, it’s a single-elimination run. It’s a basic concept, tried and tested for many years, and it promotes a highly exciting tournament.
As always in the Call of Duty League, the matches are played in a best-of-five format, except for the Grand Final, which will be a best-of-nine fixture. If you’re hunting for the best Call of Duty betting experiences, this is your bet – this snapshot tournament will last just four days, running from the 2nd to the 5th of June.
CDL Major III – Predictions and Odds
There are Call of Duty odds being offered by almost every betting site out there. It’s a diverse and dynamic market, and as fans of the game will know, the situation can change in the space of a single map. Therefore, you’ll need to enter Major III with some best-in-class predictions – the kind that we here at EsportsBets can provide.
Here’s a breakdown of the tournament odds (outright winner), provided by Bet365 Esports.
- OpTic Texas – 3.25
- Atlanta FaZe – 3.75
- Minnesota Rokkr – 3.75
- New York Subliners – 7.00
- Toronto Ultra – 8.00
- Seattle Surge – 13.00
- LA Thieves – 34.00
- Florida Mutineers – 41.00
- London Royal Ravens – 81.00
- Boston Breach – 81.00
- LA Guerrillas – 150.00
- Paris Legion – 300.00
Now, let’s just discuss those odds for a moment. At Major II, the LA Guerrillas were by no means a highly rated team – there were low expectations for the squad, starting in one of the lowest seedings possible. However, the Guerrillas pushed on, beating six teams back-to-back, including the best team in the League, to secure the grand prize. It was the first-ever Major Tournament win for the organisation, and it shocked fans and critics around the world.
While it’s a safe bet to back OpTic Texas or Atlanta FaZe, there’s huge potential in some of the lower-ranked teams. If you’re looking to boost your potential earnings, consider backing the likes of the New York Subliners or Toronto Ultra. These are two teams that have been rather rocky this year but have been stabilising remarkably well in recent weeks.
And of course, if you want that true outsider, underdog bet, maybe place a dollar or two on Paris Legion to go the whole way.
We’ll wrap this up with Major III predictions for the four opening fixtures:
Minnesota Rokkr vs LA Thieves – Rokkr wins
Toronto Ultra vs Atlanta FaZe – Atlanta wins
OpTic Texas vs Florida Mutineers – OpTic wins
Seattle Surge vs New York Subliners – NYSL wins
