Though Call of Duty publisher Activision has yet to officially announce the pack, it does at least demonstrate on some level that Call of Duty Warzone is being tweaked to make better use of current-gen consoles.
Annoyingly, while Call of Duty Warzone supports 120 FPS on the Xbox Series X and Series S consoles, it does not yet do so on the PS5 version of the game (you can see all the PS5 120 FPS games here). This is because when you play Call of Duty Warzone on PS5, the only version that exists is the PS4 version.
This means that for Call of Duty Warzone to support 120 FPS and other current-gen features, a native Call of Duty Warzone PS5 application would be required. Given the still gigantic popularity that Call of Duty Warzone enjoys, we’d say it’s only a matter of time until that happens.
In other Call of Duty news, Activision also confirmed that with the increase in file size of its games that a 500GB PS4 console will soon prove too small to store Call of Duty Modern Warfare, Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War and Call of Duty Warzone installs.
Maybe its time to start thinking about that PS4 storage upgrade?
