Partnership to focus on promoting ice cream delivery of Magnum during BLAST Premier Fall Groups
Esports tournament organiser BLAST Premier will team up with Magnum to help promote their range of ice creams during the Falls Groups (16-26 September) through home delivery platforms.
The partnership will integrate Magnum into the Counter-Strike tournament through product giveaways, bespoke branded social media content and physical and digital in-game branding. The collaboration will look to highlight the ease in which gamers and esports lovers can get their favorite ice cream delivered straight to their doorstep at a moment’s notice.
Magnum, which is owned by Unilever, one the world’s biggest ice cream manufacturers, will also sponsor BLAST Premier’s aftershow Overtime. The popular show takes place after each day’s play and sees the BLAST Premier broadcast talent team discuss all things Counter-Strike with a special guest live in the studio in the form of a professional player or coach.
Oliver Clarke, Head of Brand Partnerships for BLAST, said: “Unilever is one of the world’s most recognised and well-respected brands, their appetite to partner with BLAST Premier is testament to how much our tournament circuit has grown over the last 18 months and its global appeal. We are excited to see the results of taking their popular Magnum ice cream brand to a highly engaged esports and gaming audience during our Fall Groups event.”
Madeleine Holmstrom Szugalski, Senior Brand Manager for Magnum Nordics, said: “We’re really excited to partner with BLAST Premier for the launch of our “Play For Pleasure”
Campaign. Their brand is one of the strongest in the world of entertainment, celebrating the world of gaming in a creative and disruptive way. Magnum has always believed that a day without pleasure is a day lost and that people should not be held back from doing what they love.
“We work closely with our partners to co-create campaigns that inspire and encourage people to celebrate what brings them pleasure, whether it’s through gaming or another form of creative expression. We can’t wait to see the CS:GO community enjoying Magnum while watching the best players compete.”
BLAST Premier is a global Counter-Strike tournament series that unites all major events, offers opportunities to all regions across the globe and crowns the world champions of CS:GO. Up to 32 teams will take part in the seven BLAST Premier events this year with a combined prize pool of $2,475,000 on the line.
