The Farm 51’s survival horror title Chernobylite, at last, received a major update in the form of a console release for PS4 and Xbox One.
Chernobylite was initially released earlier this year on July 28 for PC. The dev team behind it had announced a console version as well. And as promised, they have now delivered it.

Sharing the news on its official Twitter account, The Farm 51 informed the fans about the latest launch.
The tweet mentioned that the Chernobylite console update is now available for PS4 and Xbox One.
For those who are wondering about the latest-gen versions, then there isn’t any. However, the devs will soon reveal the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S upgrades later this year. So, don’t worry if you are waiting to try out the game on the newest consoles.

For those who don’t know what Chernobylite is, then its set in the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone. As a Ukrainian physicist Igor Khymynuk, you explore the radioactive wasteland while trying to find your fiancée.
Igor formerly worked at the Chernobyl Nuclear Plant. He lost his loved ones in the Chernobyl Disaster thirty years ago. But he has returned to the radioactive zone in search of his partner.
The single-player format mostly focuses on exploring the vast, deadly area. You gather supplies and other tools while encountering “Stalkers” and enemies, including hostile military personnel.
Moreover, you also have to make the right choices that eventually affect the game’s non-linear narrative. Plus, you also get a great system to craft your various weapons.
When it comes to its reception than on Metacritic it currently has a score of 74, based on 47 critic reviews, at the time of this writing. Simply put, according to the critics, it is an average title.
On the other hand, the user rating stands at an impressive score of 8.0, based on 155 responses, when writing this article.
