Aurora has been added to ArtPlay’s 2D Metroidvania game. She has Igniculus as support, as well as a sword and her own special talents. Aurora from Child of Light will be playable in ArtPlay’s Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, as announced yesterday. The update is now available for free on PS4, Xbox One, and PC (with Nintendo Switch players getting it later). For the rest of you, there’s a new trailer that shows off Aurora’s powers and playstyle. Take a look at the video below.
Aurora will also age as the journey progresses and bosses are defeated, conferring abilities like hovering. Overall, it should be interesting to see how her play-style affects one’s playthrough. For more details on Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, check out our review for the base game here.
Transported into the world of Bloodstained without knowing why, Aurora fights with the Sword of Matildis. Her companion Igniculus is also close and can either slow enemies temporarily or heal Aurora. Johannes is also around for transmuting items and helps to improve Aurora’s abilities with Shards.
