Christmas ‘ruined’ when a sack of rice was delivered instead of PS5, claims gamer

A man says he was left devastated after receiving rice instead of the brand new PlayStation 5

A gamer has claimed he had a ruined Christmas when he found a sack of rice inside his parcel instead of the brand new PlayStation 5 that he ordered.

The man has been left devastated after discovering that the Amazon package he got did not contain a new console.

He wrote on Reddit about his disappointment and shared a photo of the package.

He wrote in the caption: “Ordered a ps5 from Amazon, safe to say my Christmas has been ruined.”

The image shows a half-opened Amazon box with a big sack of rice inside instead of a shiny new PlayStation 5.

The man later updated his post saying that Amazon asked him to send back the rice so he could get a refund.

One Redditor said: “If it’s sold by Amazon is generally a thing where suppliers send their stock to Amazon warehouses.”

While another one said jokingly: “On the bright side, there will be no shortage of rice at Christmas dinner.”

Another one commented: “This is so stupid and also hilarious.”

A fourth penned: “I guess you could say no pain, no grain from this experience!”

An Amazon spokesman said: “Amazon would ask the customer to reach out to us so we can investigate.”

Last month, two brothers were shocked to receive a 12in Christmas tree.

Logan, 10, and Tyler, 8, were disappointed when their mother Jessie Hemingway, 32, bought two 6ft trees and decorations for nearly £150 but received 12in bit of tinsel on wire instead.
