Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 presents the first multiplayer gameplay in society. The sequel to the 2019 hit kicks off with the trademark explosiveness of the adventures captained (never better said) by Captain Price. You can watch it below.
Among the new features is the redesigned customization system. The gunsmith is renovated so the progression can be shared among weapons of the same branch. That means, if you have an M4 in your hands, you can change the chassis to turn it into an M16A4. All the accessories you unlock on the basic model are extended to it. This allows dynamism to a structure still anchored in the Xbox 360 and PS3 generation.
We also see new gameplay features, such as the ability to perch on the ledges of a building, or place a grenade on the roof of a structure and it explodes in the room above you. There are also decoys, underwater combat and a multitude of new fully customizable weapons.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 public beta goes live
This September 16 will begin the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 public beta. During the next two weekends, we will be able to wield the assault rifle of the long-awaited installment of Infinity Ward’s saga. The PlayStation version will be the first to arrive, allowing PS5 and PS4 players to access this preview between September 16 and 20. On the first two days – September 16 and 17 – only those who have obtained an early access code will be able to play.
The second weekend will cover all three system families from September 22 to 26. Early access on Xbox and PC will take place on September 22 and 23; if you play on PlayStation it will be open during this period. That is, if you play on PS5 or PS4 you will have more days to try it. The crossplay function is enabled from the start.
Playing the beta will have direct rewards in the final version. If you reach level 30 you will get two weapon projects, an operator skin, and other cosmetics that will be exclusive to this period.
