Creepy Horror Game Unholy Coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X

Unholy, a horror title by Duality Games, has been in development for many years and will officially be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X consoles. A previous trailer for Unholy was released back in 2018 and detailed an interesting world that looks post-apocalyptic and very creepy. Now, a new trailer highlights elements of the story and confirms that players on Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox will be able to experience Unholy.

Unholy will join an impressive roster of horror games on PlayStation and Xbox. While the setting looks similar to titles like Fallout, Metro Exodus, and Stalker, Unholy will hopefully differentiate with unique and frightening gameplay.

The news about Unholy was revealed at the Tokyo Game Show, along with many other games and gaming accessories. Unholy can be Wishlisted now on Steam in preparation for an expected 2023 release. Duality Games hasn’t said anything about exactly when the title will be available, but it has confirmed a 2023 release. The recent trailer also showed a few locations, and enemies, and set up a story about a character looking for a missing child. It also highlighted a mysterious mask that seems to ensnare players in sinister and dangerous circumstances.

Though very little is confirmed about Unholy, the best horror games create tangible worlds and force characters into memorable and relatable experiences. In that, it seems that Unholy has succeeded. Of course, players will have to wait until the title is officially released before they can see if the game is truly frightening or engaging. Gaming is a great medium for horror content, and there have been some fantastic titles that have managed to keep fans playing while also terrifying them. Unholy will have a lot to live up to as it seeks to make a name for itself on current platforms.

The good news is that many gamers have already been showing support for the horror title, commenting about their intrigue or excitement for the game. As other horror games like Scorn are preparing for release on consoles and PC, Duality Games will have to continue to provide looks at its game that leave players wanting more. Because of the popularity of horror games, potential fans will have to be given a reason to take a chance on Unholy. And hopefully, once the game is officially released, players will find a horror experience that lives up to the expectations that Duality Games is creating.

Unholy is coming to PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X in 2023.
