Cyberpunk 2077 developer CD Projekt RED has just revealed that its open world cyberpunk RPG has now surpassed 20 million copies sold worldwide, since its initial launch in December 2020. Sales will no-doubt have been boosted by this year’s next-gen port, which massively improved on the game’s last-gen console release.
When you consider that Cyberpunk 2077 was actually removed from sale on certain digital storefronts, this is quite the feat. Of course, the game had a huge marketing push at launch, on the back of years and years of fan hype.
Not too long ago, the team also revealed its future plans for the title. Last-gen consoles are being completely dropped in future, while a new Cyberpunk 2077 expansion is in the works for Xbox Series X and S.
