The remake will show off the first official look at gameplay tomorrow.
The first official look at gameplay from EA Motive’s remake of Dead Space is scheduled to drop tomorrow October 4 at 8am PT / 11am ET / 4pm BST / 5pm CET. The news was revealed on Twitter with a short teaser trailer showing off some brief glimpses of what’s to come.
In addition, the official Dead Space Twitter account shared what will be the cover art for the game, which has a launch date of January 27, 2023. Check out the clip and cover art below.
The 13-second clip features a Necromorph, the dingy and empty rooms of the space station USG Ishimura, and ship systems engineer Issac Clarke in his now recognisable suit and helmet. The protagonist of the game, Isaac Clarke, is to be fully voiced by Gunner Wright for the remake, and the remake is to feature zero loading screens (unless Clarke dies).
Just last week, the Xbox store page for the Dead Space remake went live, offering up the game’s first official screenshots and showing players the best look yet at the game’s updated graphics. It seems Dead Space is prepping for pre-orders to go live. The Xbox store page’s description reads: “the sci-fi survival horror classic Dead Space returns, completely rebuilt from the ground up to offer a deeper and more immersive experience”, and players can look forward to “suspenseful atmospheric audio, and improvements to gameplay” as well as “jaw-dropping visual fidelity”.
Dead Space is headed to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on January 27. You can tune in to the official reveal of gameplay that’s coming tomorrow on YouTube by following this link.
