Dead Space remake console tax will cost you an arm and a leg

It appears Xbox players will need to put down an extra £20 for the Dead Space remake, which costs £69.99 on Xbox Series X|S and PS5.

The Dead Space remake is priced at £69.99 on Xbox Series X|S and PS5, as opposed to its £49.99 price point for PC players on Steam.

Dead Space remake costs £20 extra on consoles

Console players will pay £69.99 for the Dead Space remake while PC players will pay £49.99, as pointed out by Eurogamer. There is also a 10% discount available with EA Play, which knocks £7 off and brings Dead Space down to £62.99. That £69.99 price is just for the Standard Edition — the Digital Deluxe edition is priced at £79.99 for console players, and at £59.99 for those on PC.

Other publishers seem to be targeting that higher price point — Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot recently confirmed that Ubisoft’s “big AAA games” will now be priced at $70.
