THQ Nordic has revealed that Destroy All Humans! 2 launches August 30th on Xbox Series X|S! The next-gen-only remake of the second Destroy All Humans title arrives roughly two years after the first remake, bringing these two cult classics into the modern era.
We do find it a little odd that this remake is a next-gen exclusive, amongst countless cross-gen releases, but we’ll take it nonetheless! The publisher has also revealed multiple editions of the game, and a handy little chart breaking down what each package contains.
Tucked in that chart you’ll notice ‘Clone Carnage‘, which is actually a standalone spin-off to Destroy All Humans! 2. Announced alongside this release date for DAH2, Clone Carnage will bring four player co-op action to proceedings, featuring four game modes across six unique maps, separate to the main campaign.
However, this is where things get a little confusing. If you’re a next-gen player, you can get Clone Carnage for free, right now, by pre-ordering Destroy All Humans! 2. However, Clone Carnage is also available on Xbox One, even though DAH2 itself isn’t, so if you want to play the co-op spin off on Xbox One, you’ll be best picking it up on its own for $12.99/£9.99.
As for why the spin-off works across generations but Destroy All Humans! 2 is next-gen only? We’re not quite sure. Either way, the remade sequel launches August 30th on Xbox Series X|S, and Clone Carnage is out now.
