Diablo 3 Season 23 start time and release date news for Disciples of Sanctuary | Gaming | Entertainment

Diablo 3 Season 23 is kicking off for gamers on PC, PS4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch, with the latest episode refreshing a few features and loot options.

The Disciples of Sanctuary is going to bring new rewards and Legendary Items to the game, as well as returning cosmetic items for those who might have missed out in the past.

The good news is that D3 has already received its big Sanctuary update, meaning Blizzard only needs to flip a switch.

And the Diablo 3 Season 23 start date has been set for Friday, April 2, 2021, with an official launch schedule shared by the development team earlier this week.

This includes the Season 23 release time, although there has been no official news if console and PC players will be treated differently.

PC players usually have the shortest wait time, with other seasons of Diablo 3 launching on Battle.Net ahead of the PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch versions.

There’s a good chance this will be in place for this week, meaning console gamers may have to wait a little longer.

DIABLO 3 SEASON 23 RELEASE TIME NEWS

Blizzard revealed that the Diablo 3 Season 23 release date, scheduled for Friday, April 2, 2021.

The development team has revealed that Diablo 3 Season 23 will start at 5pm. For most players, this will mean 5pm local time.

Season 23 begins at 5:00 p.m. PDT in North America, 5:00 p.m. CEST in Europe, and 5:00 p.m. KST in Asia.

Meanwhile, Diablo 3 console gamers may not gain access to Season 23 until around 1am BST on Saturday, November 21, if Blizzard does connect the console launch with the North America PC launch.

Season 23 is expected to run for at least three months but it wouldn’t be surprising to find it ending in July.

This means that there will be plenty of time to earn all the rewards, with loot from past seasons coming back to the game.

For Season 23, this means rewards that were originally available from Season 11 are returning to the Season Journey.

A message from Blizzard explains: “Pet collectors will be pleased to see the return of the Emerald Dragon… and, in addition to the Pant and Boot slots of the exclusive Conqueror Set, the Treasure Goblins portraits will be available.

“However, we know it’s nice to have something new to aim for if you’ve participated in previous Seasons. We’re continuing to provide new End of Journey rewards as introduced in Season 17, with two new cosmetic ones for those who complete the entirety of the Season journey.”

There will also be a revamped Follower System going live, with fans able to equip Followers with a total of 14 different item slots which include the Follower Relic Item, Helm, Shoulders, Chest, Gloves, Bracers, Belt, 2 Rings, Neck, Pants, Boots, main-hand weapon, and off-hand.

Meanwhile, the Season Journey kicking off this week will also include a fresh Class Set for those who complete specific chapters, with Blizzard revealing: “Completing Chapters 2, 3, and 4 of the Season Journey will reward you with three of Haedrig’s Gifts.

“These contain a few pieces from one of your Class Sets. Players can only unlock one Class Set in this manner per Season across Hardcore and Non-Hardcore, so choose wisely!

“The set you receive depends on the class of the character you’re playing when you open each Haedrig’s Gift. To collect a full Class Set, you’ll need to open all three on the same character.”

Haedrig’s Gift in Season 23 includes the following:

  • Monk – Raiment of a Thousand Storms
  • Demon Hunter – Unhallowed Essence
  • Crusader – Roland’s Legacy
  • Wizard – Tal Rasha’s Elements
  • Barbarian – Wrath of the Wastes
  • Witch Doctor – Helltooth Harness
  • Necromancer – Bones of Rathma
