Disco Elysium Final Cut PS5, PS4 release date, time, new features and free PC update | Gaming | Entertainment

The Disco Elysium Final Cut release date has finally arrived on PS5, PS4, Google Stadia and PC.

One of the most interesting and unusual PC games ever made, Disco Elysium turned the role-playing genre on its head when it launched back in 2019.

The Final Cut is an expanded version of ZA/UM’s unique RPG, featuring all-new voice acting, additional quests, new characters and lots more.

The March 30 release date marks the first time the game will have appeared on PS5, PS4 and Google Stadia. It’s coming to Xbox and Switch later this year.

PC users, meanwhile, will receive The Final Cut as a free update if they already own the original Disco Elysium.

Going forward, Disco Elysium The Final Cut will be the standard version of the game on Steam, Epic Store and GOG.

There’s no official launch time, which means it will probably vary from platform to platform. Express Online has contacted the company for an exact time, and will update the article when we receive confirmation.

“Disco Elysium – The Final Cut is the definitive edition of the groundbreaking role playing game,” reads the official description.

“Pursue your political dreams in new vision quests, meet and question more of the city’s locals, and explore a whole extra area. Also enjoy full voice-acting, controller support, and expanded language options.”

The new political vision quests are perhaps the most intriguing new addition, especially as they coincide with the launch of a brand new area.

Returning players who tackle the political vision quests will also spot one or two new characters to interact with around the city.

Voice acting is another feature that existing fans will want to check out, especially with the expanded language options.

ZA/UM is also promising improved playability, including the option to further tweak the game’s settings. This is especially good news for PS5 owners, who can play in 4K and at 60 frames-per-second.

According to ZA/UM, there are additional features that are yet to be announced.

“We won’t spoil them here, but let’s just say one new feature might have you reconsider if teleportation really is possible.

“On a less mysterious note, we want to give a shout out to our animator, Eduardo Rubio, who has added a ton of new animations for you all to enjoy. As we’ve said before, we also have full English voiceover, new political vision quests, and new characters for you to meet.”

To celebrate the launch of Disco Elysium Final Cut, PC users can take advantage of a limited time discount.

Disco Elysium is down to just £27.99 on GOG.com and Epic Store. The same discount was available on Steam, although the offer seems to have come to an end.
