Xbox Games Pass recently release a lot of games where you can choose what games to play in their library. The pass allows you to play your games without owning them as long as it is in the list of the Xbox Game Pass. There’s the Xbox Games Pass for PC which has a feature of Cloud Save, however, not all games have this for PC.
Here is how you can use your Xbox Cloud Storage where you can save your game and back it up. For Xbox Game Pass PC saves, the default of your PC is that it will save your data on the C: drive where the name of the folder will be something like this, C:UsersNAMESaved GamesGAME. Upon finding this folder, you can now copy it to back up on different device storage.
To find your Xbox app saved files on your PC, go to the file explorer and look for C:Users’your user name’AppDataLocalPackages. Here, you will find your games under their title. From there, select a folder that you want to save and then click ‘SystemAppData’ then ‘wgs’, the acronym stands for ‘Windows Game Saves’.
Upon reaching this, you’ll arrive at a folder that has two files, one your save file, and the other is the container file allowing the Xbox app to be able to identify the file saved.
Not all games, however, can be saved in the cloud, especially games from Xbox One to PC. If you’re doing this, these would only be applicable for games that can be cross-saved. These games have a tag Xbox Play Anywhere game where the game could be saved for both the console and the PC. If the game isn’t tagged like this, it is not possible for a cross-save.
Usually, Xbox Live Cloud Storage works best with Xbox One. With this, you would have to have a minimum of 514MB of storage so that the Xbox One could save your game and sync it on your cloud. To check if the save worked on the cloud, proceed to “games & apps” where you can check the status on “active downloads.”
What’s great with Xbox Game Pass is that when you get achievements, it could easily be tracked down through your Microsoft account where it is credited. You can be able to play your games in a 720p resolution and recently, Microsoft has been exploring how to improve the quality of your games into 1080p.
Just this month, Xbox Game Pass added new titles and updates to their games such as Grand Theft Auto V, Zombie Army 4: Dead War, MLB The Show 21, Rush: A Disney/ Pixar Adventure, and more. The Xbox Game Pass still has Minecraft as well. You can access all these for the price of $1 for your first month after which, it costs $9.99 per month.
