Last month, Bandai Namco revealed plans to bring the action of Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot to the current generation of consoles with versions for both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Now those versions have been dated, with releases currently lined up for Japan on January 12, 2023, followed by the rest of the world on January 13.

Here’s a new trailer to highlight the PS5 and Xbox Series versions, which will be available as free upgrades for those who already own the game on PS4 and Xbox One.
The physical version is currently up for pre-order, but beyond that here’s everything that will be available:
- Standard Edition: This includes the base DRAGON BALL Z: KAKAROT game
- Deluxe Edition (Digital Only; Not Available for Pre-Order): This includes the base DRAGON BALL Z: KAKAROT game, a Deluxe Cooking item, and Season Pass 1 (Two Original Story Episodes + One New Story Arc)
- Legendary Edition (Digital Only; Not Available for Pre-Order): This includes the base DRAGON BALL Z: KAKAROT game, a Deluxe Cooking item, a Legendary Cooking item, Season Pass 1, and Season Pass 2 (Three New Story Arcs, including the upcoming BARDOCK- ALONE AGAINST FATE DLC)
