Dragon Quest X Offline postponed until Summer 2022 for PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC

On February 26, 2022, the game was planned to be released for PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. The developer claims that the delay is due to the need to improve the game’s quality in order to give it to fans in the best possible condition.

You probably have read all the mentions of “in Japan” in the article, because the game has not been announced for the west and it wasn’t included in Square Enix’s western Tokyo Game Show programming, which isn’t a good sign in the perspective of a localization. It’s quite likely that, like its online version, Dragon Quest X Offline will remain confined to Japan.

The DLC portraying the story of the first expansion “The Sleeping Hero and the Guided Allies” has also been delayed and will launch in Japan in the fall of 2022.

Of course, never say never, as one would argue that this would be the perfect chance to let western fans experience the Dragon Quest stories they have been missing, but for now, a localization seems unlikely. All we can do is keep asking and hoping.

Dubbed Ghosts of Christmas Passed, the new DLC is available to download now for PC, the Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, and Google Stadia.

Developer Spooky Doorway and publisher Akupara Games have released a free batch of DLC for their spookily unsettling 2D pixellated adventure title, The Darkside Detective: A Fumble In The Dark.

For those unaware, The Darkside Detective: A Fumble In The Dark is the follow-up to 2017’s simply titled The Darkside Detective. Essentially, it adds a bunch of new cases to the point-and-click adventure sleuth-’em-up.
