Players of the first Dying Light game can now play together on PC, regardless of their OS and whether they’re using Steam, GOG, or the Epic Games Store.
Techland has been hard at work with Dying Light 2, most recently with the release of some post-launch fixes and free DLC. That’s not to say that it’s stopped working on the first Dying Light game, though; it continues to release content and updates more than half a decade after it first came out. Now, it’s arrived on yet another storefront — and that means you can play it with friends on PC pretty much anywhere.
Dying Light is Now Playable Pretty Much Everywhere on PC
The launch of Dying Light on the Epic Games Store brings the game to yet another major PC storefront. Critically, Techland’s implementation of Epic Online Services makes it playable on all major PC storefronts and operating systems.
“Dying Light is now available also on Epic Games Store with a launch discount,” read the press release from Techland. “But there is more news to share! Techland brings all Dying Light players together with Epic Online Services solution, which means that all PC players using Steam, Epic[,] and GoG platform as well as all Windows, Mac OS[,] and Linux users, are now able to play together in co-op.”
With today’s Epic Games Store release, it’s now possible to play the game on all major PC storefronts. You can now buy Dying Light for PC on the Epic Games Store starting at $11.99 or your regional equivalent, a 60% discount that lasts until March 7, 2022. Otherwise, you can buy the game for PC via Steam and DRM-free retailer GOG starting at $29.99 or your regional equivalent.
