Hidetaka Miyazaki is the maestro of creating the best games but, he surely doesn’t enjoy playing them. Recently he revealed that he doesn’t enjoy playing his games which include the famous Dark Souls and Elden Ring.

Miyazaki disclosed that he hasn’t yet played the Dark Souls PS5 remake while speaking in Edge 367. He later revealed why doesn’t like to dwell in and explore the world he has created.

Hidetaka Miyazaki is a 47-year-old, Japanese video game designer, director, and company executive of FromSoftware. Earlier, he was known to create the Souls series when he was a game designer for the Armored Core series.
What makes Hidetaka Miyazaki not indulge in his creation?
It might come as a shock to many that Miyazaki doesn’t play the games he creates.
Miyazaki has his set of reasons for not playing the Demon Souls remake, explaining which he says, “It brings up a lot of old emotions, a lot of old memories, and this gets a little bit overwhelming, and it doesn’t feel like playing anymore. So, I have not played the Demon’s remake, but I am very glad to see it get this fresh look, these brand-new current-gen graphics.”
Elden Ring Creator is curious about what is important

No matter how he feels about playing the Demon Souls remake he never forgets to keep a close watch on important things. He has been quite attentive to taking notes on what Bluepoint Games have done with the remake of Demon Souls.
Miyazaki’s curiosity reached heights when he talked about Bluepoint Games take on the remake. He says, “One thing that was really fun was seeing [Bluepoint Games] come up with things we didn’t consider and to approach certain elements of the game – its visuals and its mechanics – in a way that we either couldn’t or didn’t back in the day. So to see them researching and applying these new thought processes and new techniques, this was something that was really exciting and interesting to me.”
