Elden Ring Is Down: How Long Will Maintenance Last? (PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox)

Elden Ring is down for maintenance. The downtime was announced earlier today with developer FromSoftware saying that the game would undergo maintenance “to help improve some multiplayer functions.” It’s not yet clear what improvements are being made, but the fixes will require a scheduled period of time where players won’t be able to connect to Elden Ring servers. This will lead to a variety of error messages popping up on PC, PS5, PS4, and Xbox, including “Unable to connect” and “Failed to log in.

The hour-long maintenance period is different for each platform, making for a total of three hours of downtime. Here’s when servers for each platform will be down:

  • 1-2 PM JST (March 1)
  • 8-9 PM PST (February 28)

Elden Ring Xbox downtime

  • 4-5 AM CEST (March 1)

Elden Ring servers will be back up at 9 PM PST for PC players, 7 PM PST for PS5 and PS4 users, and 8 PM PST for those on Xbox.

If the game servers are still down after the scheduled hour, it may be worth monitoring the official @EldenRing Twitter account for any more messages. Hopefully the downtime will only last for the planned amount of time, but these things do regularly overrun.
