Visage is a horror game set in a seemingly quaint and somber house which has sinister secrets lurking within. The game will make a return to next-gen consoles. As a part of its marketing, SadSquare Studios, the mind behind this game released a trailer that showed off the game’s capabilities on next-gen platforms.

The trailer starts off by showing the unsettling environments in the game. Quotes and reviews of the original release game were seen, which acted as a testament to how scary the game is. The setting of the game was seen alongside the gameplay and important details about the release.
This version of the game will feature a 4K resolution with 60 FPS. The textures and other visuals will also be enhanced. The upgrade is not only in the form of a visual perspective. The gameplay will also adapt to the features and perks next-gen consoles have to offer.
DualSense’s haptic feedback alongside adaptive triggers will be supported in this version. Adding on, the true prowess of the insane hardware next-gen consoles have to offer. Aided by SSDs, the game will also have a much faster loading time. With more fluid gameplay, the overall immersion is also expected to increase. A player playing on the next-gen version of the game will definitely terrify the player.

Visage incorporates multiple aspects of previous horror games. With its insanity mechanic as seen in Amnesia: The Dark Descent, the protagonist Dwayne needs to avoid staying in the dark for too long in order to stay sane.

Visage is loosely inspired by the previously scrapped P.T, Project. The game also allows players who purchased the game for the PS4 and the Xbox One to upgrade the title for next-gen platforms for free.
