OneShot: World Machine Edition is a surreal puzzle game in which you play as a character named Niko on a quest to revive the long-dead sun of a forgotten and desolate world. Puzzle mechanics, along with fourth- wall breaking metafictional elements makes us think there is more to this one than meets the eye, and it’s available now on PS4.
Players will operate the game via “The World Machine”, a sort of pseudo operating system that can be minimized at will during play, allowing players to access files like a computer, to find the solutions to particularly devious puzzles.
Our friends over at Nintendo Life really enjoyed this one, awarding the Switch version of the game a 9/10, and reviews have been generally positive for this out-there indie.
